Deepening Into Fall
There’s something so satisfying about the richness of fall. The layers, the textures, the darker hues. It feels like sinking back into yourself after the light, quick, outward energy of summer.
When my feeds are overflowing with new arrivals, I always come back to one filter: things are meant to be worn and enjoyed.
Some of these pieces are long sold out but permanently bookmarked in my brain, some are new finds I’m admiring from afar, and a few are vintage pieces available in The Shop now. I’ll link what I can.
Together, they paint a world I dream of living in. So, come on in!
Color POV

By no means does fall have to mean less color. Give me emerald, amethyst, oxblood, buttery olive, persimmon, topaz—the richer, the better.
I’ve been especially into royal purple lately. Maybe it’s the little nod to the ’80s—my favorite decade for making a statement—but I’m loving it most in small doses: like a belt or accent in a print. These suede flats sure would be perfect too!
The whole palette feels like a little jewel box.
Texture POV
Finally! Richness you can feel to the touch and through weight.
This one started with that sequin Missoni bomber (a serious dream item) and spiraled from there: velvet, suede, tweed, beading, brocade, fringe, dimensional gold chains. I can finally confirm these taffeta pants are worth the investment.
I especially love the tension between something a little opulent and something earthy. Velvet Chanel with a chocolate brown sweater. Or a statement jacket with a great pair of denim. A tapestry bag with a gold necklace.
Too much glamour can feel unapproachable to me, but too much bohemian can feel too far out there. Somewhere in between feels lived-in… which is what I’m always after.
Print + Pattern POV
I think it’s safe to say that for the past 25 years, every time fall rolls around, I reach for leopard. Some years more than others, but to me it’s one of those classic prints that can act like a neutral. Glam it up, prep it down… I’m actually feeling inspired to try mixing it with other prints this season.
I had a pair of leopard flats I wore absolutely to death about ten years ago, so seeing these feels strangely nostalgic, I also like these!
Paisley is a print that can swing wildly between a hard yes or a no for me. I love it when it feels like a beautiful old-world textile rather than overt 70s funk. Always love perusing Etro’s scarf assortment this time of year for inspiration.
And then there are florals. Exuberant florals against cream or black are always a yes.
The Grounding Neutral
Something needs to anchor all the fun!
Chocolate, espresso, tobacco, cognac—I’ve slowly been investing in more of it through a classic belt, vintage Max Mara jacket, ballet flats, tall and short suede boots (these are good!), a vintage Chanel tote, and a cashmere cardigan. They’ve become workhorses in my closet. A stripe sweater could be a nice addition too.
What makes it particularly good this time of year is texture. Suede, corduroy, leather, quilting (this is gorg), silk, even a little reptile embossing keep it from feeling flat. And I love it against warm golden tones: chunky jewelry, amber stones, a dreamy silk scarf.
It really makes everything feel grounded enough to actually wear without looking like a crazy lady!
