Fall Fashion High & Low
The more in tune I am with my personal style, closet, and what’s new in stores, the more I realize: I don’t actually need much. Every season is just an update to the same few core styles — and I love that.
When I look through my wardrobe, I have most of the foundation: a fall floral dress, a sweater dress, a vest, a jewel-tone cashmere sweater, a sherpa jacket, a printed jacket, a checkered blazer, a barn coat, an oxford, suede tall boots, dark denim.
Once you’ve built your core wardrobe, it becomes less about adding and more about evolving. Each season, it’s really about asking: what’s ready for an upgrade? Did that sweater dress work better for cozy WFH days or nights out? How would I like to style a fur or sherpa vest? How do I like wearing leopard print? Would I actually wear a long pendant necklace with what I already have? These little reflections keep me honest and make shopping feel like play.
This year, I’ve given myself permission to buy what I absolutely love — whether it’s $24 or a few hundred. Last weekend I fell hard for a Veronica Beard Fair Isle sweater. I went home, slept on it, and the next day hit purchase. I’ve decided one splurge piece per season feels right for me and I have no doubt this one’s it. I’ll enjoy it for years.
Everyday Updates
Here’s a mix of high and low favorites I’m loving- each piece stands on its own. Before you buy, dream about how you could bring it to life with what you already own!

Fair Isle Sweater– If I hadn’t seen it in person I might’ve missed the gorgeous cranberry tone. I don’t usually size up but here I went with a Medium.
Lilac Brushed Cashmere Sweater– Icy pastel perfection- soft, unexpected, and right up my alley. When I had my colors done, I found out I’m a Winter season girl, and this shade is spot on.
Multi Colored Beaded Necklace– A great random find, the colors are exactly what I’ve been dreaming about styling for fall.
Suede Belt– Been hunting for the perfect brown suede belt. The modern buckle gives it a feminine edge and I like that the width is a touch over an inch.
Sherpa Vest– Love this for casual weekends layered over a neutral knit. The price is right, too (I already have the jacket version!).
Denim Jacket– Oversized, classic, easy. An affordable one to keep on rotation.
Stripe Cashmere Cardigan– This color combo has been in my bookmarks forever.
Suede Boots– Just snagged these in a rich chocolate brown. Super comfy to dress up or down.
Ribbed Sweater Dress– This one reminds me of my Zimmerman one- slinky, ribbed, and so flattering.
Tassel Necklace– Love the corded detail, feels down to earth but still chic.
Chunky Beaded Necklace– Gold and brown tones that will pop against heavier fall fabrics.
Adidas Spezials- Still obsessed. The emerald green and chocolate brown versions are top of my list. Check out the special stitching on this pair!
Going Out
This part of my closet could use a little love. My going-out style always feels more outward — a touch of glam, a hint of edge, and a bit of romance. Lately, I’ve been drawn to mixing contrasts — black with dark brown, silver with gold — a little tension makes it more interesting.
Metallic Tee– Comes in gold too. I’d tuck this into jeans with a bold lip. I picked up a mesh lace top last weekend with a similar idea.
Leather Bomber– Ever since a friend wore her Nour Hammour jacket to coffee, I can’t stop thinking about it. The lambskin feels Chanel-level luxe.
Gold Hoops– Love the curved shape; feels more sculptural and grown-up. They also come in silver.
Suede Pumps– Chunky heel, soft material. Perfect to wear with both black and cream. I recently picked up this pair of animal printed pumps and love them! You can sorta see in the photo above.
Heart Earrings– I’m a sucker for a playful heart earring. The red ones are extra in the best way. Would be so sharp with a black top.
Suede Bag– This slouchy top handle bag is the perfect mix of sophistication and ease.
Tweed Blazer– That open neckline with denim? Ugh, so chic.
Leopard Top– A mesh turtleneck that’s subtly sexy but still elevated.
Fur Collar Jacket– Love the removable fur, gives it versatility for day or night.
Plunge Top– The wire structure gives it shape. A little daring but might be worth the experiment. Never tried anything like it.
Silk Top– Imagining this this with dark suede boots and a cropped jacket. Dreamy.
Shopping, when it’s intentional and creative, reminds me that style isn’t about more, it’s about refinement. The longer I pay attention, the more I realize how little I actually need and that awareness makes me feel both grateful and abundant.
Always more to come — I love mixing these lighter, fashion-focused posts in between my more layered, exploratory coaching ones.
