Manifestation Is A Flow
Most of us think of manifestation as something we do—a list we write, a visualization we practice, a mindset we maintain.
After building my last business and seeing nearly everything I’d dreamed of come to life, I realized it’s not fixed in the way I thought. It’s ask, believe, receive—and then keep realigning your energy. Manifestations are a mirror. They show you that what you hold inside—your beliefs, emotions, and intentions—reflects outward, shaping the reality you experience.
It’s easy to manifest from ego, you just have to be a little delusional in your thinking, but I often wonder: can what we want feel as good on the inside as it looks on the outside? Because I’m pretty sure that’s what we want more than anything.
My curiosity for entrepreneurship began in a tiny basement apartment, reading The Secret, staring at a blank Tumblr blog post, wondering if I could really make my life up however I wanted. That possibility—the complete freedom to create your life is still my mission today.
Believing we can has been my anchor through fear, doubt, and failure. I’ve learned that manifestation isn’t about hitting milestones; it’s about building self-worth around who we authentically are and choosing how to use our energy to make the world a better place. Becoming the creator of your life isn’t just a vision board project, it’s a lifelong practice of aligning mind, body, and soul.
Over the years I’ve devoured every teacher I could find—books, talks, podcasts, live events- you name it. Abraham Hicks taught me to shift my thoughts toward what I want to experience. Gabby Bernstein invited me to meet myself with honesty. Dr. Joe Dispenza showed me that we can connect with the future now by shifting our energy.
To Be Magnetic cracked open all the ways my past habits and programs were secretly running my life, helping me navigate discomfort to make different choices. Each teacher offered a piece of the puzzle, and I began to understand the rhythm of my own energy.
But I discovered it was impossible to manifest without strengthening our authentic self- the part of us that can navigate life’s chaos and ride the waves without quitting. That’s why I fell in love with Human Design. It became my personal map, my north star, my guide to understanding myself. We can use it to bring awareness and compassion to the parts of us still learning to trust life.
Manifestation is about permission to flow. To become, to grow, and to let life unfold as we deepen in clarity, alignment, and presence. It’s not about bypassing emotions; it’s about feeling our way forward and trusting that the process itself is safe, as we deepen our capacity to receive what feels completely out of reach.
I’ve organized what I’ve learned into five layers of manifestation—a map of truths, lessons, and reflections to revisit time and time again. Explore them with curiosity- I promise, even just reading this, you’ll feel your energy start to shift. The process itself is a sacred teacher, and we are more than equipped to be our own guides.
1. CLARITY
Manifestation begins with clarity—knowing who you are, what you want, and why. But clarity isn’t a one-time discovery; it unfolds and deepens with every day and chapter of your life.
Big, juicy goals—the ones that feel wild, impossible, and a little scary—are invitations to step in, experiment, and refine your understanding of yourself and what you truly want to experience and give. Remember, your desires are seeking you just as much as you’re seeking them.
I once read that someone vibrating at a higher frequency can exponentially shift the energy of the collective- how cool is that? What if we all did that? What would the world be like then? Our desire for joy is not selfish; living fully into our light inspires those around us to step into their light too.
I remember the first time I tried to bring Sweet & Spark to life. I wanted to “make vintage jewelry cool again” but I had no idea how. A friend suggested creating a lookbook with influencers. It felt overwhelming and risky—building the assortment, reaching out to people I admired, renting a studio, hiring a photographer, and learning how to creatively direct—but stepping into that chaos taught me that momentum starts when you commit to something that stretches you.
Purpose rarely arrives neatly packaged. It shows up in the doing, the experimenting, and the small steps taken despite doubt and immediate results. Struggles, setbacks, and confusion aren’t failures—they’re data, catalysts for growth, and opportunities to refine your understanding and clarity. Without discovering what you don’t want, how would you ever know what you do want?
2. AWARENESS & ENERGY MASTERY
Manifestation is also about certainty. You have to know, deep in your bones, that what you want is already flowing toward you- even if it hasn’t yet appeared in your reality yet.
The bigger your manifestations, the bigger the fear, doubt, and familiar “not enough” story will test your deepest insecurities. The resistance isn’t failure—it’s feedback, signaling where your energy is stuck and inviting you to recalibrate into the energy of deservingness.
While growing Sweet & Spark, we were denied a $30,000 loan just days before payroll and a new store opening. Instead of panicking, I held a knowing: we were going to get exactly what we needed. Days later, even better than expected, a $100,000 loan came through. That moment taught me manifestation isn’t wishful thinking—it’s holding your clarity even when you’re being tested.
Your mind will always try to protect you, telling you you’re not worthy, that joy must be earned, or that struggle is required. The subconscious mind controls roughly 95% of our thoughts and reactions, meaning most blocks to manifestation aren’t conscious. To uncover them, we must be radically honest, curious, and attentive to our habits, patterns, and reality.
Energy mastery isn’t about denial—it’s about noticing those stories, reframing them, and deliberately choosing better thoughts that feel good. What would shift if you stopped trying to fix your energy and started listening to it?
Tools & Practices:
Tara Brach’s RAIN exercise—Recognize, Allow, Investigate, Nurture. Feelings are our compass. If something feels off, pause and ask: what belief or story is creating this reality? Everyone and everything we attract is a lesson and a teacher.
Abraham Hicks’ Deliberate Creator Exercise: We tend to focus on “what is” instead of articulating what we truly want. Notice what you like, what you want more of, and what you’d prefer throughout your day: a sweater you love, the desire to rest, finding $100 on the sidewalk. Focusing on what you truly want aligns your energy with manifestation.
As you open your energy and allow more joy to flow through you, you become a super-attractor.
3. ALIGNED ACTION
Manifestation isn’t just visualizing or “thinking positively.” True aligned action comes from clarity, courage, and presence. It pulls you forward from desire- not need. Sometimes it’s saying no- the most magnetic word-even when it’s hard. Other times it’s releasing attachment to outcomes, following intuitive nudges, setting boundaries, or trying something completely new. New things often arrive the moment you step through fear.
Before opening our first store, we ran pop-ups around the city for a year—testing neighborhoods, studying buying patterns, trying new products, connecting with brokers, and analyzing comps. Each action didn’t look or feel like it was moving the needle, but internally, we were collecting data and building the capacity to commit to a brick-and-mortar store.
There were discouraging moments—like seeing the perfect location that required a massive deposit and total renovation. But we held our standards around what we needed and what we could afford.
Then one day, while dropping off orders at the post office, I noticed a charming hair salon closing with a “for rent” sign in the window. It matched everything on our list and was the perfect small size in the neighborhoods we wanted. In that moment, I knew it was ours.
Sometimes we hesitate because we can’t see the full picture. We worry about outcomes, uncertainty, or “what if it doesn’t work?” The truth is, you don’t need to know everything—you only need to focus on the next best step. What’s one small action you can take today to get your energy moving?
4. EXPANSION
Expansion is imagining the life you want as if it already exists and allowing the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors of your future self to flow through you. What might be possible if you trusted your inspired energy to guide you?
Clearing old patterns creates space for new ones. Let go of what no longer serves you—old habits, possessions, or commitments—to make room for what energizes and inspires you. Always be feeding your inner creator by immersing yourself in ideas, experiences, and people that stretch you and reveal what’s possible.
I love reading non-fiction business and spiritual books, listening to inspiring podcasts with soulful humans, and catching coffee with other creatives—experiences that expand my sense of possibility and fuel my hope.
True expansion requires regulation: feeling grounded, present, and connected. As your nervous system capacity grows, so does your ability to receive without self-sabotage. Many of us unconsciously resist joy because we’ve learned it might make us feel vulnerable, unsafe, or open to disappointment.
After Sweet & Spark closed, I entered a season of healing—reconnecting with myself and understanding the rhythm of my energy more deeply. Meditation, somatic therapy, and acupuncture helped me connect with a version of myself that could hold more ease, joy, and clarity. I continue to build my capacity to hold energy one client, workshop, group call, and post at a time.
Expansion is stepping into the fullness of who you are and letting your body, mind, and energy grow in alignment with the life you desire. When you allow yourself to feel joy, safety, and wholeness, you remember the divinity within you. Accepting your greatness is the key to becoming a super-attractor.
5. EMBODIMENT
Gratitude is a high-frequency magnet. It’s an acceptance of what is and opens your energy to receiving abundance. I love this quote I heard Madonna say on a podcast, “I am certain beyond logic it’s all happening for the best.” The most noteworthy definition of trust I’ve ever heard.
Surrender doesn’t mean giving up—it’s the first step to receiving. The more you let go, the more you become a match for what you desire. What if you allowed life to surprise you?
Our job isn’t to force manifestation—it’s to become the channel through which it flows. Manifestation is about being in partnership with life. The universe speaks through signs, synchronicities, and mini-manifestations. These are our markers of alignment, nudges that our energy is moving in the right direction.
I was invited to speak at my first conference this past spring. Soon after, a corporate event. Then the month after that, a talk for a group of creatives. These were nudges guiding me toward full-time coaching, teaching, and speaking. I eventually made the decision to close my vintage shop, re-launch my website, and commit to this new direction.
Embodiment also means dissolving self-judgment and the need for approval. When you stop caring so much about what others think, you stop judging yourself and that is liberation. Your unique qualities, passions, and gifts are divine tools for creation rather than limitations. Celebrating yourself and others’ uniqueness reflects our universal oneness.
Being grateful for what you have, both present and future, is magnetic. That’s why affirmations like these are so powerful:
I am always becoming- evolving through curiosity.
I am able to transmute stuckness into movement.
I am safe in my power, it inspires aliveness in others.
I am not defined by passing thoughts or feelings.
I am rooted in my pace, not productivity- what I’m building is alive and grounded.
THE BIG PICTURE
Manifestation isn’t about wishful thinking or checking off a bucket list. It’s about getting to know yourself, your fluid flow of energy, and integrating it with gratitude, presence, and aligned action.
Every step, big or small, is an investment in who you are becoming. As you get energy swirling, you’ll notice that life begins to respond. Keep your eyes and heart open.
