March 2025 Outfits
We saw a lot of sun in March but it’s still been chilly here in San Francisco. I was hoping to wear more springy things this past month but truly it’s still sweater and layering weather. It’s about this time of the year that I wish I had more warm pastel and light neutral sweaters, like this cable Jenni Kayne one that I live in on the weekends.
This month saw a lot of blazers, long jackets, cardigans and button down tops- the core items for San Francisco I suppose you could call them. It’s funny to me, looking back at February outfits, I had more fun with fashion prints and colors but I think that’s because it’s not as windy as March can be! Everything is easier when you don’t have to layer.
Ha, the two new items I bought this month I haven’t even worn much yet! I snagged this Doen top for a brand photoshoot I did with my friend Hillary because you can never go wrong with wearing a crisp white top in photos. I also picked up this white poplin prairie skirt from Sanctuary. I wore it once but didn’t snap a photo because I’m still learning how to style it. I think long drapey sweaters are going to look so much better with it than tucked in tops.
Looking at these photos, I’m noticing how important spring layering is. Something I’d like to spend a bit more time playing around with and mastering! Note to self, spring is all about light colored wool jackets. long oversized trenches, army green jackets, classic blazers and any tweeds that read spring in color. Drapey fabrics seem to be preferred silhouettes too!
