Raising Your Vibration
I remember discovering David Hawkins’ work a couple of years ago and devouring his books Letting Go, The Map of Consciousness Explained and Transcending The Levels of Consciousness. They gave me a framework for understanding spiritual growth right when I needed them.
At the time, I knew my energy was stuck in the survival paradigm, where things feel like they’re happening to you, not through you or because of you. I’d just closed S&S, and I remember lying in the bathtub one afternoon staring at the ceiling, feeling a massive void. I was grieving how hard I’d worked and how little it seemed to matter. I didn’t get the version of success I’d been chasing.
It was one of my first ego deaths and spiritual awakenings. My awareness began expanding into new truths, and Hawkins’ work became a guide for understanding big life shifts and keeping hope alive for what’s next.
His Map of Consciousness is still one of my favorite tools to share:

It reveals something simple but profound: the way we perceive our life determines our frequency—the actual amount of energy moving through our body. The more alive, open, and unattached to outcomes we are, the more energy we have access to. Most of the time we’re trapped in the mind, disconnected from this truth. That’s why I share these ideas—to help us believe it’s safe to move out of our heads and into our bodies.
We slide up and down the scale throughout the day, but there’s usually a predominant level where our nervous system feels safest—until something shifts us higher through healing or transformation.
Where our energy vibrates colors our entire view of reality. That’s why there are multiple “truths” in life—based on our frequency, our perspective will look different than someone else’s.
When we perceive life through low vibrating survival emotions like shame, guilt, apathy, grief, fear, desire, or anger, we’re often looking for fulfillment from the external world: money, status, control. Life feels like a battlefield and we easily burn out or slide into depression.
When we allow higher-frequency emotions in our bodies—love, joy, peace—our perspective softens: competition falls away, scarcity disappears, and life becomes an adventure of growth. Action taken from this place is aligned, intuitive, and meaningful. Synchronicities become natural.
My biggest takeaway from starting, building, and scaling S&S was this: strategy, aesthetics, and hard work alone can’t bring true fulfillment if your energy isn’t aligned with your actions. Coherence between body and mind is what allows you to create a life and business that feels as good as it looks.
This chart is more than just a guide—it’s also a reminder that energy is contagious. Each shift we make influences the collective. Hawkins teaches that as we raise our vibration, we exponentially change the energy around us.
If you ever feel powerless, remember: you are a source of energy. You get to choose how you feel, how you operate, and how you respond. Your vibration matters.
Life is a balancing act. We are never static—our energy shifts moment to moment depending on the thoughts we hold. The more we cultivate gratitude, the higher our frequency rises, and the more life feels aligned and effortless.
So let’s shift our energy together for a moment: what’s one quiet blessing in your life that you can feel—right now—if you pause for a breath?
