People don’t need to be told what to do, they often need more support contemplating what they’re already going through. ⁣
⁣
I came across this tidbit somewhere in 2022 and wrote it down in my journal. It resonated. ⁣
⁣
At the time I had nearly stopped taking my thyroid medication and found myself in a collapsed hypothyroid state. I couldn’t get out of bed for weeks. A trip to the ER landed me on my friends couch while I slowly ramped back up on my medication. It was there that I experienced the type of unconditional love I aspire to give. My feet were rubbed, my crown was held, suggestions were given on the search for a Naturopath and guidance for shaking out all of the anxiety coursing through my body was delivered. ⁣
⁣
There was complete acceptance of my experience. And even though I’m not proud of my decision to taper my medication without proper support, I understand the beauty in it. I needed the time to learn how to hold myself in love, trust that my body and the universe love me and deeply listen to the part of me that feels like something is wrong with them. ⁣
⁣
This was a pivotal chapter of my year and life. I think it’s made me a better daughter, sister, friend and coach. ⁣
⁣
It helped me grow into my mentoring style this year. More than anything I see myself as a guide. I love holding space for others to feel into their full range of experiences to help them discover the beauty and truth in everything. I love talking about and building businesses too but the answers are to be found in the weeds.
⁣
As I wrote New Years’s cards to my clients this week, these were the some of the themes that I reflected on supporting them with over the past twelve months: ⁣
⁣
- Trusting the move out of their head into heart⁣
- Taking risks and experimenting to find clarity⁣
- Deepening their roots in what they love⁣
- Redefining safety and finding their flow⁣
- Building their internal teams & processes⁣
- Believing in themselves and their worth⁣
- Unblocking old patterns to create space
- Giving themselves nurturance and compassion ⁣
⁣
Little did they know, often I was right by their side learning a lot of the same things. What you give, you get back tenfold❣️
