My mom and step-dad came out this past weekend for a visit and we spent an afternoon at Flowers Winery in Healdsburg, California. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous, especially with all of the rain we’ve gotten in California recently. It was an overcast day with light rain which made for great lighting for photos. 

Also we went on a Thursday and nearly had the place to ourselves! Highly recommend a visit if you’re in the area. The tasting is $75 per person and comes with a small plate of local snacks from their kitchen and a farm down the street. We all loved the Chardonnay, which is my mom’s favorite at home! From there we headed over to Calistoga for a night at stayed at Dr. Wilkinson’s, we enjoyed a glass of Flower’s Chardonnay at the hotel before having dinner at Sam’s Social Club. We spent the next morning at the hotel spa, I had to get the signature mudbath because that’s what Calistoga is known for as it sits on top of a hot spring. Such a quick and restful trip out of the city!
