Vintage Edit Vol 2

This week’s vintage edit turned out to be jewel toned theme. After checking my hearts on eBay, The Real Real, Fashionpile & Rebag, I realized that I’ve been gravitating towards rich colors and textures. Must be the time of year!

And also, a couple of months ago, I did a color analysis with a client of mine who own’s a styling business in Pittsburgh and found out that I’m a winter gal, meaning that classic neutrals (navy, grey, black & white), jewel tones and icy pastels look best on me. Ever since then, I’ve been slowly adding these colors back into my closet as I’d stepped away from them for a few years in favor of pastels, which were so very Sweet & Spark.

BAGS

Alright, let’s start with the best deals here. This Chanel mini is in a black satin fabric which is unusual but also still so very classic. Finding classic Chanel flap bag styles in different fabrics is often a nice way to spend less than lambskin or caviar leather. This cutie is under $2,500 and would easily be $4,800+ in leather.  The emerald green suede Chanel bag is such a rich find in the iconic 1980s camera bag shape and the price is incredible too. Speaking of price for Chanel bags, I included this pink bowler as an example of a trendier style that’s more unusual and therefore much cheaper. It’s under $1k which is a hard to find price point for Chanel bags. Condition on this one looks great too.

This Hermès Picotin 22 is so dreamy in an inky blue color. I think the price is a steal and the middle size is my favorite. This bag is on my wishlist! It’s one of the only “affordable” Hermès bag styles out there and luckily one of my favorites too. Also, can we just talk about the deep blue of the Celine bag too. Can’t believe the price on it either. So, if you had to pick between them? I’m so curious what you think! Or maybe you like this royal blue Prada better?

Last but not least here, the purple striped Prada really spoke to me. It’s definitely a lot sportier than my personal style but there’s something about it that I love. Sadly the Tod’s mini crossbody was already sold out by the time I posted this, which I’m not surprised because black reptile leather speaks to me this time of year. Such a way to elevate your basics, by the way, have you seen the reptile leather Ferragamo belt I currently have for sale?

SCARF

Extra large Hermès scarves are not as easy to find as you’d think and I particularly love the colors of this one. It is a hundred or so dollars more than the one I currently have available in my collection but it must be because of the popularity of this print. Which I very much understand, goes effortlessly with all neutrals!

JEWELRY

Not sure I’ll ever be able to do a round-up without featuring heart motifs somewhere! How unique are these Givenchy matte gold clips? I love the little rhinestones for added shine. Also love these understated Chanel blue cabochon clips. The quality of them is a little off my usually standards but because of that, they’re priced right at around $500. I’d recommend snagging them simply because colored Chanel jewelry is not as common as the all gold styles.

Okay some things I’m curious about. What do you think of Hermès leather wrap bracelets? Sterling silver rings (this one is Bottega Veneta and on sale) and David Yurman? I’ve never carried any of his pieces before but I do like the idea of trying a few at some point. It’s reminding me of my college days when I had a bracelet knockoff or two.
