The People I Love Working With
After closing Sweet & Spark, I pivoted into coaching. To be honest, I had no idea where it would go, but I had tons of experience from building a business that I knew could absolutely help others.
Because if there’s one thing I knew after nine years of entrepreneurship, it’s how much there is to figure out.
Having a vision is one thing. Actually building a business around it is another. You’re constantly translating what you sense is possible into real decisions. And so much of that thinking happens inside your own head.

I love getting inside someone’s business with them.
Bring me the assortment that isn’t selling. The employee situation that’s driving you crazy. The offer that’s gotten too complicated. The pile of creative ideas you don’t know how to organize. Your birth charts. Your marketing plan. Your numbers. The new idea you can’t stop thinking about but don’t have time for.
I bring my merchant brain, pattern recognition, entrepreneurial experience, creative direction, strategic thinking, questions, practical tools and an outside perspective.
It’s creative collaboration without needing an actual business partner!
And I think that’s why some of my clients have been with me since the beginning. Because I’ve been there. Heck, I’m still there. Business isn’t something you figure out once. We tend to circle the same questions over and over, each time from a new perspective.
So I wanted to celebrate all the different types of businesses I get to work with and what I love about the people building them!

Emerging Creatives
Some clients come to me with an idea they’re ready to take more seriously. Often they’ve already built a successful career, but there’s something else tugging at them that they’re not quite sure what to do with.
I love helping someone get clearer on what they actually want to create and what feels distinctly theirs. From there, we can give it some shape — clarifying the bigger vision and finding small, practical ways to start putting it into the world.
What I love about people at this stage is how honest they can be about their vision. They tend to dream big and it’s really inspiring.
You don’t have to blow up your life or know exactly what it’s going to become. Bring me what you care about, and we’ll start there. Small moves can create a lot of clarity.
Retail + Product Founders
I’m a merchant at heart, so naturally I love a product based business!
I love talking about branding, inventory, margins, pricing, cash flow, merchandising, selling, marketing calendars, customers — and how all of it works together.
Product businesses require you to put real cash behind decisions before you know exactly how they’ll play out. I love creating more visibility into what’s selling, what’s coming in, what needs to move and what’s coming next — and then building the marketing rhythm around it to keep the whole thing moving.
What I love most about product is its ability to create a feeling. The right thing can help someone express who they are, or recognize something in themselves they hadn’t quite named yet.
If you have a strong product point of view but need help managing the business around it, this is my happy place.
Interior Designers
Interior design businesses are some of my favorites because they are so wonderfully complex.
There’s the creative work itself, but there are also clients, contractors, employees, vendors, timelines, margins and A LOT of expectations to manage.
A big part of our work is the pipeline — creating visibility into what’s coming, understanding your capacity and continuing to fuel what comes next so you know when to market, hire or take on more work.
We also talk a lot about leadership — what kind of firm you want to run, how involved you want to be, who belongs on your team, where you need more structure and where you might be overcompensating for someone else.
What I love about interior designers is how naturally they lead. You’re constantly holding a vision while guiding clients, teams, vendors and contractors toward it — making a million decisions along the way.
There’s so much to look at in these businesses, and I learn so much about capacity and leadership from the designers I work with!
Creative Service + High-Touch Businesses
Stylists, photographers, videographers, travel advisors, experiential businesses and other high-touch service founders have an interesting challenge: you are often part of what the client is buying.
Your point of view, taste, presence and way of doing things are part of what makes the experience valuable. We talk about positioning, offers, pricing, client experience, workflow, capacity and boundaries — especially what truly needs you and where the business needs a stronger engine around your talent.
What I love about these founders is how much they care about creating something meaningful for someone else. I love helping them protect what makes it special while building a business that supports them, too.
Influencers + Content Creators
I absolutely LOVE working with content creators. I admire their willingness to be visible, generate constantly, follow their ideas and make a whole world around themselves.
They tend to be visionaries with an intuitive sense of what people want from them. We might dump everything out of your brain and organize it, look at what your audience is responding to, develop a larger creative vision or build a content rhythm that actually feels doable. A container doesn’t have to limit your creativity — sometimes it’s exactly what gives all those ideas somewhere to live.
What I especially love is that content creators usually already have something they genuinely want to give — whether it’s style, financial tips, leadership advice, humor or simply a way of seeing the world. Sometimes the work is helping you see the larger vision around it and trust it enough to let it develop over time.
Practitioners, Teachers + Guides
I love working with people who spend their lives thinking about people — how we work, what we need and what helps us change.
Whether you’re a coach, therapist, consultant, yoga teacher or another kind of practitioner, you usually have a body of knowledge and a point of view that you’re building a business around.
We talk about offers, positioning, pricing and how to share what you know — through a newsletter, Substack, workshop, talk, social media or simply a clearer way of describing your work. And because these businesses are so relational, we also talk about what’s actually yours to hold and where you might be taking on too much responsibility.
I love the curiosity, compassion and emotional intelligence people in these fields bring to their work. And I love helping them turn some of that attention toward the business holding their work — and finding more ways to share what they know.

So as I celebrate five years of doing this work, I think I finally have a much simpler way of describing it:
I’m your creative business partner.
You bring yourself + the business. I’ll bring another entrepreneurial brain. And we’ll figure out the next layer together.
I work 1:1 with clients in 75-minute sessions, usually biweekly or monthly. We dig into whatever is most alive in the business right now — a decision, an idea, a problem, an opportunity — while building on everything we’ve already learned along the way.
If you’re building something you care about and want another entrepreneurial brain in the room with you, I’d love to work together. You can book a 30 minute discovery call with me here.
