You’ve probably noticed that I’ve dabbed in collages this year. I’ve focused on new designer finds, vintage Chanel and clothing finds I love. I’ve hesitated to do true vintage round-ups because the photos on resale sites aren’t always the prettiest. But as time goes on, I’ve come to the conclusion that that’s part of what makes it fun. Finding that diamonds in the rough!

So in addition to my vintage shop, I thought I would get in the habit of sharing round-ups of items I’ve found and love but am passing on for myself and shop. I see soooo many amazing things every week during my deep scrolling escapades so in the case that you love the thrill of the hunt too, I thought this could be a nice way for you to join me.

To kick it off with volume 1, I went into my saved and hearted folders and noticed a theme of things I always gravitate towards (80s & 90s iconic statement pieces) as well as, newer ideas I have and personally want to try like silver leather, western belts and thick banded rings. 

BAGS

If you’re here, you know that vintage Chanel bags will always be my favorite things, and probably yours too, especially the classic flaps from the 1980s and 1990s. This red lambskin leather mini is a reasonable price for it’s rarity at just over $7,000. There’s a small scratch on the corner but I think that a little cadillac leather conditioner would soften it nicely. It says the serial code is illegible but the fact that it has one is the main thing to look for.

I almost snagged this silver clutch for the shop because I actually think it’s underpriced but decided to share it here instead so that someone could treat themselves to it for a special holiday event! Lastly adore the shade of this chestnut brown double flap bag as it’s not a common color. It’s in amazing condition and $6,480 is an on par price. Also, this is a reputable seller that I’ve purchased from many times.

BELTS

Anyone else feeling the western belt trend? I did a deep dive into them a couple weeks ago and fell in love with this brown Douglas Magnus one but sadly I think it might be too small for me. Also love the edginess of this Bottega grey one. Perhaps I’m warming up to the idea of infusing a bit more conviction into my closet again!

CLOTHING

I’ve been finding myself browsing second hand clothing more frequently on The Real Real and feeling inspired to infuse my closet with some pre-owned dresses, blazers, jackets and sweater. No better way to make a statement than wearing something no one else has. This Sandro sweater stopped me in my tracks because of it’s bold 80s vibes. Love the coin buttons and oversized fit. So cute with leggings and some booties.

JEWELRY

We used to sell so much vintage Givenchy jewelry at Sweet & Spark but I haven’t had many pieces in my new shop mostly because I just forgot about it! I love vintage Givenchy earrings, especially the styles that have pearls, enameling and heart motifs. Funny story, the Givenchy pair with the black enameling, was an exact pair we had in our LA store that was pulled by a celebrity stylist for Kylie Jenner to wear at a holiday party a few years ago. It was so cool but as you can imagine, ending up being a bit styled off brand for S&S!

Anyways, also obsessed with thick rings and Florentine finishes (the cross hatch pattern) at the moment, this one is currently 20% off right now. And lastly, I never see red Chanel jewelry so these earrings are just so so special.
